30 Aug FACE IT – PICKING GLASSES IS ALL ABOUT THE FACE!
Finding the right glasses can be overwhelming. You step into any optometrist office or eye wear retailer and are immediately overwhelmed with the choices! Here are a few tips that can help you narrow your search to the perfect pair of glasses!
FACE SHAPE
It’s all about that face! Different face shapes compliment different glasses, take a look at our points, suggestions and go from there. This can be fun!
Oval: Defined by balanced features, a chin only slightly narrower than your forehead. You can wear just about any style, play with a variety of textures and colours!
Best Frames: wide frames, bold looks, cover up sunglasses.
Tips: Find a size that maintains the balance in the face.
Round: You will likely have more youthful features that pair well with contrasting eyewear. Striking rectangular shapes and thinner frames will be the most flattering.
Best Frames: angular frames, small and square, contrasting bridge.
Tips: Find ones with nosepads to keep off cheeks.
Heart: You are lucky; you have the high cheekbones and a narrow chin. You can be more playful with your look and choose frames that are wider than your forehead.
Best Frames: wide frames, bottom heavy, thin temples.
Tips: Light colours
Square: Round and oval shapes will complement this face shape best. The curved features of the frames will soften the defined angles in the face. Don’t be afraid to go funky either!
Best Frames: round frames, semi-rimless, wide frames.
Tips: neutral colours
