• A drop of topical anesthesia is placed in each eye.
• Disposable silicone pads are inserted behind the eyelid.
• Heat is applied to the affected area by a LED heating system. This allows melting substances that could be obstructing the glandular ducts to be dissolved. The sensors in the device continuously monitor the internal eyelid temperature during treatment.
• Finally, the eyelid is gently compressed as necessary to clean the blocked glandular ducts as well as express whatever residual substances are leftover.

The iLux allows the doctor to control the levels of heat and compression with a single button. Thanks to this, he/she can easily and quickly determine the location and duration of treatment.
